Jamile Schmidt (nickname J) is a Sr. Project Manager in the Operational Excellence dept at Providence Alaska Medical Center. J transitioned to the Healthcare industry after 14 years in Aerospace product and process engineering. She specializes in developing strong relationships, promoting safety, and helping build LEAN cultures. J is passionate about serving those she supports, executing risk mitigation planning, and leading projects and continuous process improvement efforts. She grew up in the Midwest, but as a military spouse has lived in many places and currently resides in Eagle River, Alaska. She graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and from the University of Utah with a Master of Business Administration and graduate certificate in Business Analytics. J recently acquired her PMP certification through PMI and found an opportunity within the PMI AK Chapter to continue efforts to give back to military members and their families. Throughout her academics and work experience, J has been process-driven, gained a firm understanding of both business and engineering fields, and promoted and championed change. Max Chepurko serves as the Director of Technology for the PMI Alaska Chapter. With over 13 years of experience in software development, data analysis, business analysis, and project management, Max brings extensive expertise in leveraging technology to drive business growth and operational improvements.
Until recently, Max held the position of Director of Technology at the large international company Siemens Energy. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and execution of all technology initiatives within the organization. Max led a diverse team of IT professionals, driving the implementation of cutting-edge technologies to optimize business operations and enhance efficiency. Max's efforts resulted in significant improvements in process automation, data management, and system integration, which collectively contributed to increased productivity and cost savings.
Max holds an MBA from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a Master’s Degree in Cyber Security. His passion for technology and continuous learning drives his commitment to delivering actionable insights and achieving the best results for PMI Alaska Chapter.
