To address situations when:
PMIAK cancels an event:
Chapter cancellation includes but is not limited to insufficient enrollment, venue or speaker problems, weather, natural disaster or acts of nature. Notification of event cancellations will be posted on the PMI Alaska website once a determination is made by the PMI Alaska Board and will include e-mail broadcast.
Refund policy: full refunds will be rendered when the event is cancelled by the PMIAK.
A registrant cancels or does not show:
- 1)Monthly Dinner Meeting:
- 2) CAPM/PMP Prep:
- 3)Other PDU Events:
Refund policy: there is NO refund, substitutions or transfers for the Monthly Dinner meetings. If PMI-AK changes the meeting topic after payment has been made, an email announcement will be sent to all registrants known at that time and a voucher can be requested that needs to be redeemed within the next 2 monthly meetings.
Exception: voucher may be issued for the very next event for a participant not attending the monthly dinner due to an emergency which impedes him/her to attend. Registrant should contact PMIAK VP of Finance who will seek approval to secure a voucher. If approved, voucher can be used ONLY for the very next monthly meeting.
Refund policy: There is NO refund, substitutions or transfers for CAPM/PMP Prep.
Exceptions: a) voucher may be issued for the very next event for a student cancelling the PMP Prep due to an emergency which impedes him/her to attend and/or complete the course. Student should send written request to PMIAK Board, who will approve or disapprove the request for refund. b) If the student has completed the PMP Prep course, and wishes to take the course again, they can audit the course, paying half of regular fee, the very next time course is offered. This is only valid if PMBOK edition and Student Kit used by PMIAK are the same when student audits the course. c) For both exceptional cases student should contact VP of Education for instructions.

Exceptions: afore mentioned rules for emergency cases apply to all PMIAK events.
1) Refunds may take up to 10 days to post the money.
2) Registrants who sign up for a class or event and have not submitted payment are not guaranteed a place in class until payment has been received.
