PMI Alaska Chapter Meeting

Wednesday 5/27/2020

Presenter-Chastine Lynch, PMP, CDA, SSBBP

Topic: Disciplined Agile

What does it mean to be disciplined? To be disciplined is to do the things that you know are good for you, things that usually require hard work and perseverance. It requires discipline to regularly delight your customers. It takes discipline for teams to become awesome. It requires discipline for leaders to ensure that their people have a safe environment to work in.

PMI’s recent acquisition, Disciplined Agile, is creating quite a buzz in the project management community. Disciplined Agile (DA) is a process-decision toolkit that provides straightforward guidance to help people, teams, and organizations to streamline their processes in a context-sensitive manner.

DA provides a solid foundation for business agility by showing how the various activities such as Solution Delivery (software development), IT Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Portfolio Management, Security, Finance, Procurement and many others work together. DA also describes what these activities should address, provides a range of options for doing so, and describes the trade-offs associated with each option.

During this time of adjustment, your PMI Alaska chapter is dedicated to bringing you valuable content via online platforms. You can sign up on our website for this virtual, interactive presentation.
