Mike has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Montana School of Mines. He brings 30+ years of upstream experience, almost exclusively in the Alaska oil and gas industry. Career roles have included common carrier pipeline operations in Cook Inlet, production field roustabout on the Kenai Peninsula, measurement-while-drilling field representative across Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico, construction materials coordinator, process engineer and in 2000 Mike moved into a project management role. He earned his Project Management Professional credential in 2004 and has worked for BP Alaska since 2009 in various roles within their projects organization, most currently as their Project Verification Lead.
Mike’s parents moved their family to Alaska in 1974 and extended family has remained in Alaska. Mike is married to Melissa and they have two sons – Joey is now in the Air Force and is stationed in South Dakota and Matthew attends Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo.
