Project Management in Style: Leading with Confidence, Credibility, and Authenticity - Copy
Join PMI Alaska Chapter for our monthly Speaker Dinner & Networking Event at the Petroleum Club of Anchorage. This event brings together project management professionals from across Alaska for an evening of professional connection, knowledge sharing, and community engagement.
This month, we are pleased to welcome Sharita Napper, PMP, who will present "Project Management in Style: Leading with Confidence, Credibility, and Authenticity"
Project management is about far more than schedules, budgets, and methodologies—it is ultimately about people. In this engaging and thought-provoking session, Sharita will explore how personal branding, executive presence, and authenticity can become powerful tools for leading successful projects, influencing stakeholders, and building trust across teams.
Using fashion as a relatable metaphor, Sharita demonstrates that “style” extends far beyond clothing. It encompasses how project professionals communicate, lead, build relationships, and show up in every interaction. Attendees will discover how their personal brand shapes perceptions, influences decision-making, and impacts project outcomes—whether they intentionally cultivate it or not.
As AI and automation continue to transform the profession, uniquely human skills such as emotional intelligence, empathy, adaptability, influence, and relationship-building are becoming increasingly valuable. Through practical examples and an interactive self-reflection exercise, participants will identify the leadership qualities they want to be known for and assess whether their daily actions reinforce that professional identity.
Attendees will leave with practical strategies to strengthen their executive presence, elevate their personal brand, and confidently step into the leadership roles they aspire to achieve.
