Delivering Anchorage’s Priorities: Infrastructure, Housing, and Downtown Development

Business Acumen

Join PMI Alaska Chapter for our monthly Speaker Dinner & Networking Event at the Petroleum Club of Anchorage. This event brings together project management professionals from across Alaska for an evening of professional connection, knowledge sharing, and community engagement.

This March, we are pleased to welcome Nolan Klouda, Policy Director for the Municipality of Anchorage, who will present on Infrastructure, Housing, and Downtown Development Projects in Anchorage.

This session will highlight the LaFrance Administration’s strategic initiatives to strengthen Anchorage’s infrastructure and built environment through a portfolio of capital and community development projects. Topics will include the upcoming April bond package, featuring planned investments in roads, parks, public facilities, and public safety, as well as the Mayor’s 10,000 Homes Initiative and the delivery strategies being used to accelerate housing development.

In addition, Nolan will discuss several major downtown revitalization efforts currently underway, with a focus on project scope, delivery approaches, stakeholder coordination, and anticipated community impact. Attendees will gain insight into how large-scale public initiatives are prioritized, funded, and executed within a complex municipal environment.
