Stephen Gebert VP, Enterprise Security, Facilities & NOC ACS

Stephen graduated with a BS in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics from the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology. Attended Navy ROTC during college and entered active-duty Naval service as an officer upon graduation. Attended Navy Flight School and was selected to serve as a Radar Intercept Officer in the F-14 Tomcat aircraft upon graduation. During his 20 years of active-duty service in the Navy he made three deployments on aircraft carriers, flew numerous combat missions, and accumulated over 2500 flight hours and over 400 arrested landings in the F-14 aircraft.

He also had the opportunity to attend the US Air Force Test Pilot school where he flew over 30 different military aircraft and subsequently served in the Navy’s operational fighter test squadron. Following his Naval career, he joined Alaska Communications where he has served in various leadership roles for over 16 years. These roles include leading the PMO, the Service Delivery department, the Risk Management department, and the Enterprise Security department. He currently leads the Enterprise Security Office, the Facilities maintenance team, and the Network Operations Center team. Additional duties include Safety, Emergency Management, Business Continuity,  cyber security, physical security, and our government security clearance program. He holds an MA in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, and an MS in Project Management from UAA.

He is married to a very lovely woman and has three terrific kids.
