Speaker Bio
Crystal Tingook is a student at the University of Alaska: Anchorage, pursuing her Master’s degree in Project Management and her Associate’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Operations. Her key focus is in remote projects management, given her experience in remote projects operational support and materials handling.
Crystal graduated from the University of Alaska: Anchorage with her Bachelor’s of Arts degrees in two fields: Art in 2013, and Philosophy in 2016. She also holds a certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Operations. Her work experience includes materials management since 2008 in the oil and gas industry as well as in the research industry, with a diverse background in hazardous materials handling.
Crystal and her partner Tom enjoy all sorts of outdoor recreations including trail riding on dirt bikes, fishing and hunting, and archery.

Remote projects pose a series of unique challenges depending on where the project is executed. These challenges usually fall within three key areas: Stakeholder Engagement, Risk Management, and Procurement Management. Effectively managing these key components is crucial, and is the key differentiator in the success of remote projects.
